Help Annie & Troy back on the road
Donation protected
On April 16th, the bikes of our friends Annie and Troy Yung were stolen from the back of their truck in San Francisco. These were no regular bikes, and neither was their intended use. Annie and Troy have been training to raise money and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation at the CA Coast Classic,(Annie's page , Troy's page) this is their 7th year and already have over $3500 pledged for their efforts. My hope is to get them back on the road and able to selflessly contribute as they love to do.
Within our circles, we know both Annie and Troy to be incredibly giving, not only through fundraising rides, but through Annie's incredible God-given voice. She also raises money through the annual "Singing for a Cure" soprano benefit concert.
From Troy, "Our bikes were very important to us especially because we ride every year From San Francisco to LA to raise money and awareness for the arthritis foundation. The money we raise will go towards the purchase of new bikes. Our fundraising ride is in September so we are trying to replace our bikes so we can get back to training for the big ride. Our bikes were very important to us and the fact that someone stole them makes my stomach and head hurt every time I think about it. It would mean the world to us if we could raise a little money to cover some of the cost of new bikes. I cannot thank you enough for your support during this difficult time for us. Thank you so much."
I'm helping Annie and Troy out with this page since I'm one of the more web savvy friends in our circle, but more so because I know how devastating a blow this is to their livelihood, and I've know a little bit here and there will certainly soften the blow. I spoke to Troy, and he's guessing he'll need $2500 to get back on the road. And also if for any reason the funds exceed what is required to recoup the bikes, it will be put toward the fundraising goal for the Arthritis ride this year. Thanks so much in advance for your interest and assistance.
