My mother, Andrea Ragsdale, suddenly got ill on Friday morning, July 31st. She had a seizure at her home, when she got into the ambulance she went into cardiac arrest and lost consciousness. We found out she had a tear in her intestines and was internally bleeding. She went into cardiac arrest again when she was in the hospital and that lasted for 10 minutes. They did theraputic hypothermia which meant they cooled her body to 32 degrees for 24 hours then rewarmed her. She was supposed to gain brain activity when she was warmed back up but she never regained her brain activity. At the end she was brain dead and all of her organs had failed. This was very unexpected and we are needing to raise a sum of money to pay for her to get cremated and anything else that may come up.
