Annette's healing

My name is Brigitte, and for those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting my precious sister, Annette, know that it is indeed a true "Treat" to have her in your life. She is so important to sooo many... a precious wife, loving mother, devoted daughter, perfect sister/best friend, incredible teacher, wonderful friend, valuable community member and most of all one who devotes her life to share the love of Jesus Christ to all she knows. There really aren't words to attribute to how loving and giving Annette is, but for those of you who know her. You know! IYKYK ;)

On Friday July 29th she went in for an elective surgery. She was quite reluctant to pursue this surgery and all of us who love her so deeply encouraged her to go through with it in order to alleviate multiple problems she had been suffering from. Unfortunately, following the surgery there was a complication as her bowel developed a small hole resulting in a multitude of problems. At the time of the initiation of this fundraiser, she is lying in a hospital bed, vulnerable to all those around her fighting for her life. She is very sick. She is on a ventilator, sedated, requiring pressor support and has an open abdomen. She has had three surgeries so far, and it is anticipated she will have a minimum of two more. We are being told that she has a long road ahead of her, first for her body to heal enough to get off the ventilator, then heal the large wound in her abdomen all while her body will need to fight to overcome the sepsis. She will then have to recover all of the strength that she has lost during this difficult period. For every day in the hospital, it is believed she will require 5-7 days of recovery. (since initiating this, she has made some progress Praise the Lord!!)

Her husband, Kirby, lives approximately three hours from the hospital and is trying to maintain the needs of his patients while being at her side. He has been at her side faithfully, while trying to assist their two boys as they prepare to return to Union College.

They are blessed to have medical insurance, Praise the Lord! That medical insurance does come with co-pays and a significant deductible. In addition they will have to come up with the money for gas driving back and forth, hotel rooms (even at the medical rate add up very quickly), meals away from home and income that is missed while he is away from work. Following her hospital stay it is likely she may need rehabilitation and ongoing wound care. It is still unknown what other expenses will occur as it is unclear how things will progress.

Annette and Kirby both have devoted their life to being committed to ministry in whatever they are doing. They would, and do, give to so many without expecting anything in return. I know that neither one of them would ever want to solicit funds from anyone; they would prefer to be the ones giving. I know that there are so many who love this precious family and want to be able to bless them in whatever way they can. If it is impressed upon your heart to assist them with financial stressors during this very difficult time, it will be eternally appreciated. I am confident that any funds contributed would be for her care and support and if there was a drop left, they would turn it around and bless someone else abundantly.

If you are unable to support them financially, we are so grateful for ongoing prayers and have been able to feel the impact! We are confident in Jesus abundant grace and healing powers, and are eternally grateful for the prayers that continue!!
