Annette Case Recovery Fund

Hi, my name is Rich Case and as many of you know or don’t know, my mother Annette Case suffered from a stroke back in June while driving home from work. She has been out of work since then and most likely will be indefinitely. She has worked for Roche Bros for almost 40 years and loved every second of it and has made many friends from over the years.
The physical recovery process is taking some time but thankfully her mental state was not dramatically effected. Her left side is still very immobile but she has made strides to walk with the assistance of a walker. She lives with her boyfriend, who has been amazing because he took a LOA to be home with her. I had hoped she would be able to recover closer to her family including her 10 month old grandson (Caden), 9 year old grandson (Colin), 93 year old mother (Caroline) and me, my wife and sister but certain circumstances prevented her from being discharged from rehab to the Boston area. She currently spends most of her day in a hospital bed in Fall River and barely gets to go outside since she needs a wheelchair and assistance to get down the stairs.
I would love for her to get better instantly because she has already missed so much with her family but that is not going to happen. Getting her into the car takes a very long time and she gets anxious being in a vehicle after her accident. If she had an electric wheelchair and a ramp at her house to get her to street level, she could then at least go outside and get some fresh air. A handicap accessible vehicle is not financially feasible and ramps are pretty pricey too with the dimensions required. She has not been receiving any income in over 2 months. Filing for disability and SSI is taking some time and there are many bumps in the application and approval process.
I am asking for any support you can share to help my mother pay her bills, become more mobile and survive while we try to figure out her new lifestyle.
Please share this with anyone who may know my mother. My mother and I are not on social media. Shocking, right? My mom doesn’t even know how to turn a computer on so if you haven’t heard from her in a long time, don’t feel ignored or neglected. She’s living in the Stone Age of technology.
Much appreciated. Happy holidays! And thanks for the support so far.
