We are raising money for our parents to be able to afford our mom’s stem cell transplant.
Mom was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in May of 2024 at the age of 53.
During spring of 2024, her physical health started deteriorating quickly. Sitting, laying, and standing we’re all unbearably painful. She was unable to walk from her bedroom to the kitchen, basement, or backyard.
She could not walk me down the aisle due to a fractured pelvis, multiple broken ribs, and hairline-fractures throughout her limbs. A first round of radiation therapy targeted the pelvis which gave her mild relief.
Bi-weekly chemotherapy treatment was also started at this time, with minimal positive results. Her cells initially responded well, but then reversed as the cancer continued to worsen.
The next logical step is a stem cell transplant. She harvested her own stem cells in August, and was hopeful to begin in December. This may be pushed sooner due to her white blood cells count dropping to undetectable levels.
A stem cell transplant is a lengthy process and recovery, where she will need an extended, isolated hospital stay.
My dad will need to split his time between her in Madison and their home in Portage. Keeping a house in working order and being the sole support-team member during her extended stay is going to stretch my dad thin physically and emotionally, as well as financially.
Anyone who knows Anne and Eric personally know they would not be asking for help if they could find any way to swing it otherwise.
Donations will be used for motel stays, gas to travel back and forth, and other expenses that are tied to a major medical event.

My mother is the most important person in not only mine but countless others’ lives. For almost two years I have watched her fight the fight of her life. She is the epitome of an angel. Dozens of my friends think of her as a second mother, and she has acted as so. My parents cannot do this alone. Any help you can possibly provide, including sharing, is a debt we’ll never be able to repay. Most importantly, we ask that you pray to whomever your God/Allah/Universe or may be none at all, and shower her in love, strength, & peace as she fights the battle of her life.
With abundant gratitude,
Jessica & Abigail
