Dear Family and Friends,

As many of you know, AnneMay aka our tiny, mighty warrior, was in remission for less than a year after her initial diagnosis. Unfortunately, at the beginning of March, she began experiencing severe stomach pain. 3/14 she went to ED and was admitted for jaundice and concerning masses found in her liver, pancreas, and spine. Being transferred from Kaiser Fremont to San Leandro, and then to San Jose for advanced GI treatment, things have been a difficult and ongoing journey.

After 3 incredibly grueling weeks with delays in diagnosis and treatment due to both the complex nature of her symptoms and processes, doctors have confirmed a fungal infection so far. We are now anxiously awaiting biopsy results to determine the next steps.

These unexpected and unfortunate events have caused our AnneMay to be unable to return to work for the foreseeable future, and it’s unclear how long she will need to focus on her health. As you can imagine, this has placed a tremendous strain on her physically, emotionally, and financially.

We are reaching out to ask for your support— through a donation, words of encouragement, or simply keeping her in your thoughts and prayers as she navigates this challenging time. Any help will go a long way in easing the financial burden of hospital bills especially, so that she can focus entirely on healing and recovery.
