Please Join Me In Helping My Dear Friend, Anne
My dear friend has been relentlessly winning the war with stage 4 pancreatic cancer through an incredibly brave battle since the Summer of 2019.
For the last two years I have honored her wishes for privacy and have not disclosed her health condition. Anne did not want this enormous challenge to affect her ability to help and serve others where she had maintained working from home with the help of her team. As an extremely giving person, it is now time for me to champion her cause and try to relieve the devastating financial burden as much as possible so that she can receive the help she needs and focus solely on fighting her enormous battle.
Anne is one of the most wonderful, loyal, selfless, courageous, motivating, intelligent, and caring people I have ever met. Anne, at age 52, is a single mother raising two beautiful girls, Kate 17 and Ellie 13. These girls have shown amazing strength and courage in helping their mom fight her daily battle. With the help and support of her parents, her girls, myself and a few close friends, it is unfortunately not enough to provide Anne the full time care she now needs.
Anne has dedicated her career to serving others and has worked tirelessly over 20 years as a successful medical malpractice and personal injury litigation attorney. In 2015 her career shifted and led her onto a new path specializing in structured settlements for case resolutions for her clients and she was recognized as one of the Top Super Lawyers - female attorneys in Michigan.
I have been so proud to watch her serve and help so many people throughout her career including her involvement in representing over a hundred victims and their families affected by the high profile Larry Nassar case at Michigan State University. Anne also has personally forever touched my family by assisting my uncle who suffered an accidental overdose administered in a hospital that has left him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. I will be forever grateful for her efforts in saving my brother's life when legally representing him while he was in a coma where he needed to be transported from an out of state medical center to a large hospital which was critical in saving his life.
This comes to you with an extremely heavy heart that Anne has exhausted all efforts for traditional medical treatment. She has had success through chemotherapy, but unfortunately not a cure. Recently, she was accepted in a clinical trial to aid in her battle with this truly brutal and ugly disease. This clinical trial prohibited her from full time in-home healthcare insurance coverage only allowing her potentially up to $4000 per month. The cost of her full time home healthcare was quite financially devastating, costing over $15,000.00 out of pocket a month which is not sustainable for any length of time. She has now progressed to palliative care. I am seeking your help both in prayer and any financial assistance that you can offer through this gofundme campaign to financially support and her girls.
In addition, I am also hosting a Charity Golf Outing on June 21st at Devils Ridge in Oxford, Mi where I first met Anne 18 years ago. We are looking for players, sponsors and donors for the auction at the golf outing.
