As you may or may not know, on September 28th Anne was taken to hospital where she underwent emergency surgery for a ruptured brain aneurysm, and she has been in the ICU in a coma since the surgery.  Although she continues to impress the doctors with her strength and recovery (her family puts it down to the famous Corrigan stubbornness, but I think she may have gotten her strength from being married to a particular Scotsman for over 30 years), her doctors say that recovery will take months.

For those who don't already know Anne, she is a great friend within our community, she is hard working, caring, humble, fun, always has a smile for everyone and is a great mother and wife.  She is also one of Bruce Springsteen’s greatest fans, which her nurses know all too well because her visitors won't stop playing her his songs all day long!

Fortunately, Anne has health insurance, but on top of her copays and deductibles, her doctors predict she will need many months of recovery before she can work again.  Once she has regained consciousness and begins to recover further, she will need physical and occupational rehabilitation just to walk and talk again, and most importantly dance to her favorite Bruce songs.
