My name is Athena Elliott, proprietor of Houston based businesses SPAthena ,Best lil' Nail Shows and Nail Talk Media.
Harvey rained ON US ALL ... for days. As the flood waters continued to rise the mandatory evacuations continued with people being rescued everywhere.
Best Nail Shows HQ took on 2 ft of water including a scarey rescue mission for our GM Michelle Aab.
This gofundme is not for us...it's for my lil sister Annastaccia, who many of you know she lives in pain every day from MS/Fibromyalgia. Texas has not been as kind to her like PA. Annastaccia is not able to work and has zero health benifts, just a lot of red tape that only leads to tears.
With only inches IN the apartment, it still took a daring rescue by my brother Anthony - he drove thru high water, (gotta love those huge Texas trucks) launched a boat, and saved both her and Mark! Even though both vehicles were lost, they had high hopes of returning to their apartment. Then, came the mandatory water release from the reservoir... 8ft plus.
I am asking my 5K of my FB friends and followers to donate just $1 to this fund. Funds will be used ASAP to get her medications and ease some of the discomfort. It will also help Mark with temporary transportation for work.
If you are in the Houston area,and can donate in person clothing that would also be a blessing.
