Anna Ontiveros is a beautiful 5 year old girl. She loves to dance (within her capacity) she is always happy and active. She loves being involved with whatever her older sisters are doing. Anna was born premature at 32 weeks along weighing 1lb 10oz. Due to her being so premature she suffered PVL bleeding in the brain. Anna is unable to walk on her own. When she walks her feet scissor or lap over with each step making it impossible for her to walk on her own. She walks like this due to Spasticity in the back of her legs. She has been in physical therapy since she was a year old. She's made a lot of progress over the years, but the Spasticity doesnt doesnt allow her to reach her full walking potential.  Anna's physical therapist suggested we look into SDR Selective Dorsal Ryzotomy Surgery. When Dr. Parks examined Anna he informored us that her condition will only worsen as the years go by. That if she doesnt have this surgery she will be wheelchair bound for the rest of her life.
In looking into SDR we found Dr. Parks in St. Louis Childrens Hospital Center for Cerebal Palsy. Dr. Parks is speacialized in this type of surgery, and has performed 3,400 of this type of surgeries with patients from around the world. Dr. Parks has been in practrice for over 29 years, we have faith that he is the one that will help Anna be able to walk, or give her more range so that she can live a more comfortable and independant life.  
Our medical insurance will not cover this surgery because it is out of "Network". The cost for this surgery is 37,000. We hope and pray that you can help our little girl with what ever amount you can spare. Any amount is truely appreciated. Anna's surgery is scheduled for May, 25th 2017 the total amount has to be paid by April, 25th,2017 or she will loose her place in line for this surgery.  She will be put on a waiting list for the next availble surgery.
