Hello Community of Dear Anna far and wide!
We are once again reaching out to Anna’s extended network to ask for financial support to help her rest and recover from the last four months of chemotherapy. Chemo has been challenging and exhausting for Anna and she needs time to regain her strength and energy before she is able to start working again.
For those of you who know or have met Anna, you will know she is incredibly kind and caring and has always given so much of herself to her friends and community. Right now, she needs all that love and support to keep flowing back her way.
Any amount you can donate will be so appreciated and graciously received. All money raised will go directly to Anna and will be used for covering the costs of her basic needs, bills, and nourishing food to help with her recovery.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated funds to Anna after her mastectomy in November and thank you to our community here on the North Mountain in Nova Scotia, and Anna’s family who have all helped keep Anna fed, warm, loved and always with full water jugs.
xo Tilly
From Anna:
Following my single mastectomy in November, I was told that the cancer in my breast was invasive, it had spread to my lymph nodes and that it was highly recommended that I should start chemotherapy right away to mitigate the risks. This was devastating news as I had hoped to not need any more treatment following the surgery. But the worst was yet to come. June 14th is the final of 6 rounds of chemotherapy that I have had over the last four months. It has been such a challenge and I could not have gotten through it without the generous support from those who love me near and far. I am not sure what the next few months will look like and how long it will take me to be able to get back to steady work to support myself. This money will allow me to rest and process what has been a very long year filled with a lot of hard news and hard experiences. I have such deep gratitude for the multitude of ways that people have supported me in this time and shown me that it is okay to ask for help.
Thanks, love Anna :)
