Anna-Lea’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Monday May 6th the unimaginable happened.
Our Daughter in law Anna- Lea Holstein had a Stroke.
Because of Nathan’s fast action she is still here with us today.
If you know Anna then you know she is the sweetest beautiful soul you could ever meet.
Just a month ago her and Nathan moved into their very first little house. They made it their own, and just planted their first garden.
Anna was just learning how to ride her first dirt bike and she was blasting through puddles and zooming around like a natural. She was mastering her fishing skills. She was working in a little restaurant and making roots here in a new town. With summer coming her and Nathan had so many adventures in the works.
At 22 she had her whole life ahead of her now that life could be drastically changed.
The events that took place on Monday have turned our world sideways. There’s never any way to prepare for something like this.
The road to recovery is going to be long and hard.
Nathan has been by Anna’s side every minute. Be that chasing the ambulance to Kamloops then through a snow storm to be with her so she’s not afraid or to charming the nurses so they let him sleep in a chair beside her bed. He’s been beside her every step of the way. At present they are in Kelowna General Hospital in the ICU ward.
We are taking everyday as it comes and feel so blessed that Anna is still with us. The future and all the unknowns are overwhelming so that is why I’m reaching out to you all.
Nathan has taken time off work to be by Anna’s side. This has been very traumatic and terrifying for Anna and she feels safe with Nathan beside her, so he’s there with her untill he just can’t be and has to return to work.
Rent and bills are still going to be due, and living out of a back pack at the hospital is so expensive and for them to have to worry about money right now breaks my heart.
Any amount of financial help will be forever appreciated to help Nathan and Anna have a little bit less to worry about right now. I also know times are tough right now for everyone, which made me hesitant to even reach out but even if you could share this story I would be so grateful.
