Annabelle's Battle: Machine for Faster Chemo Care

Hi, my name is Annabelle and am lucky to live in the beautiful western slope of Colorado.

As you may know, my cancer has returned. Many of you do not know this is the ninth time. I was always able to keep it hidden as radiation lets you do that. Well this time with the start of chemo, no hiding it now. My secret is out.

With the start of bi-monthly infusions this has taught me that although my local cancer center has been doing a great job since 2014, we are missing a key piece equipment. Every patient must have their blood tested prior to receiving chemo treatments to make sure you are healthy enough to accept it. We currently only have a centrifuge machine that spins the blood but do not have the chemistry analyzer to read the blood.

Currently the patients blood has to be sent over to the hospital. This process takes over an hour and a half. If we had this analyzer right at the cancer center this would shave off an hour and a half of each and every cancer patient. This machine costs $19,881.

We have all been affected by cancer in some way so I am asking for some financial help. If we all just give a little it adds up big.

Time is precious to us all but imagine giving an hour and a half back to myself and my fellow warriors each and every time we go in for treatment!

Individually we are amazing but together we are super spectacular!
