Help Annabelle Raise Funds for a Service Dog

Meet Annabelle:
My name is Annabelle McCoy, and I am 10 years old. I have a passion for soccer, art, and music. My father serves as an active duty member of the United States Marine Corps, while my mother works as a school nurse and is also a full-time student at Troy University. I have four siblings who keep life interesting and fun.
When I grow up, I aspire to be a professional soccer player. I hope to make a positive difference in the world through my career. Recently, on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, I was diagnosed with diabetes. This new challenge has inspired me to consider getting a service dog specifically trained to assist individuals with diabetes. I believe having a service dog would greatly enhance my safety during daily activities and at school. Additionally, a service dog would provide me with comfort and companionship during the more difficult days of adjusting to this new lifestyle.
From Her Mom:
Diabetic alert dogs are incredibly beneficial for individuals with diabetes, especially for those who have recently received a diagnosis. These specially trained dogs can detect changes in blood sugar levels, alerting their owners to potential hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) or hyperglycemic (high blood sugar) episodes before they experience any harmful side effects.
For example, Annabelle is a dedicated student who consistently earns top grades and plays soccer five days a week. Despite being diagnosed with diabetes at a young age, she remains hardworking and compassionate, demonstrating resilience and a positive spirit. Diabetic-alert dogs can play a significant role in helping individuals like Annabelle manage their condition effectively, allowing them to continue pursuing their passions and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Respectfully,
Rebekah McCoy
