Hi, my name is Kristina and I’m trying to help my friend raise money to pay for plane tickets to go to the funeral of her brother that passed away while protecting his homeland - Ukraine.

On May 12th, soldier Sergei Maurnikov was killed while protecting his homeland - Ukraine. His sister, Anna Maurnikova didn’t learn about his death until May 15th. This loss has brought so much sorrow and grief to my friend and her mom, that lived with her and that Anna was financially supporting this whole time. Anna is traveling to Ukraine right now, to say a final goodbye to her brother and to take her mom to see her son one last time. Unfortunately, she didn’t have enough money to pay for the tickets and had to use a credit card. As you can imagine, buying international tickets and leaving on the same day is extremely expensive. Because of it, when Anna is back, she will be facing the credit card debt. Please, help me raise money to help my friend pay for these plane tickets. While she is grieving for her brother, I am hoping, this will provide some relief to her. This war has left a deep scar on her heart that will last forever.
