As bold, happy and outgoing as she is, you may not know that Anna Songco had survived two kidney transplant in the past. She persevered and won those battles but yet again, Anna is fighting the biggest battle of her life. Anna was recently diagnosed last May of 2019 with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer also known as Mesothelioma which affected her peritoneum. Mesothelioma cases are usually from exposure to asbestos, but we couldn't think of any exposure that Anna might have had. Due to her age, asbestos exposure is less likely the cause. Even medical professionals are clueless as to where it originated. Cases like these are very hard to overcome. Mesothelioma has a very poor prognosis with a survival rate of less than 5 years. Everything at this point is all shocking to our family and friends as there were no notable symptoms of the disease. Since she was diagnosed, Anna had been fighting for her life. She has been in critical condition for the past 3 weeks and we are asking for your continuous prayers.
With all the procedures and lengthy stay, the hospitalization will be a monumental costs to her and our family. If it is not too much to ask, any small donations will go long ways to help her and our family.
Thank you,
Bob & Diane Claro (Family of Anna)
