Help Anna recover from major theft
Donation protected
Our dear young friend Anna has had a string of very hard knocks. Let's help her get back on her feet.
Last week, while preparing to move into a studio apartment in Concord, the 15-foot U-Haul truck with nearly all her belongings was stolen, despite being parked in a historically safe area. The truck was recovered, but the catalytic converter and battery were stolen, the interior was trashed, and most of Anna's belongings are gone, including furniture, kitchenware, clothes, precious mementos and personal documents. What little remained was soiled or damaged.
Prior to this, Anna had significant health problems last summer, her beloved cat disappeared in the fall, her car became inoperable, and in January she moved into, and weeks later out of, an apartment in Concord that looked fine but had repeated cockroach problems and no heat.
Anna diligently trained to be a hair stylist during the pandemic and completed her program. She is now in the early stages of her career at a salon in Walnut Creek. We are so proud of her! But after this crime, she is extremely disheartened and facing a virtually empty apartment.
Please donate what you can to send our love and encouragement to Anna and to join her mom's efforts to support her through this traumatic time.
