Help us give 85-year-old Anna Nikolaevna the trip of a lifetime !

We all know Anna! She is no ordinary woman — she is a living legend from Gagauzia in the south of Moldova. At her respected age, she still carries that fiery spirit, warmth, and resilience of someone who has touched countless lives (the lives of all of us, for sure!).

She’s a mother, a grandmother, the first female journalist in Gagauzia, and for decades she’s opened her home and heart to international volunteers, students, and travelers - even without speaking a word of English – yet using the universal language of love and hospitality, and of course - “sadisi kushati” (sit down and eat!).

And while she watched us all follow our own paths in life, Anna’s presence has been a constant reminder of unconditional love and generosity.

Anna has never been to what she calls “Europe,” but this autumn, we - Anna Celac, Haley Bader and Cosma Billitoel - want to change that.

Our dream is to bring her to France for one week — to give her the true “Anna in Paris” experience: strolling along the Seine, visiting the Musée d’Orsay, enjoying her favorite flowers, and soaking up the magic of a city she’s only ever heard about.

Of course, she’d also be thrilled to visit some of her other “house alumni” currently living in France to reconnect with them and be surrounded by the love she deserves.

She will be accompanied from Chisinau, and we’ve planned everything to make sure she’s comfortable with her, including a wheelchair rental for sightseeing and a cozy stay in Meaux, just outside Paris.

Trip dates: September 14–26, 2025 (depending how the fundraiser goes)

Given Anna’s modest lifestyle, any leftover funds will help her cover high winter gas bills back home.
