Anna "Falls" In Love
Donation protected
Hi friends and family,
As you all know, my sister (Anna) and her high school sweetheart got married on April 9th after being together for 8 years. Their wedding day was beautiful and magical—all the things a wedding should be. But soon after dancing began, Anna had an accident on the dance floor and left the wedding in an ambulance.
After exams, x-rays, and CT scans, we learned that she had fractured her femur. The broken piece of the femur lodged its way under her patella, which forced her knee to lock up completely. Anna spent almost three hours in surgery the next day and it was successful.
Anna and Demetrius had the hardest year of their lives and deserved the perfect day more than anyone. Which is why we are all crushed that they didn't get to have their tribute to Dallas, bouquet toss, proper send off in their vintage getaway car, or their meticulously planned honeymoon to Hawaii.
Now, the young couple is having to deal with the stress of recovering from a major surgery, unexpected expenses, extended leave from work, and an uncertain living situation.
A few people have asked how they can support Demetrius and Anna, so I wanted to create a place to be able to rally together and meet their immediate needs. This is going to be a long and hard journey (which I have no doubt will only strengthen their marriage), but this is one way we can lighten the burden for these newlyweds.
With Love,
