Hey hey! I'm having top surgery in the next week-ish - SO EXCITING! I've been waiting a while (about 2 years) and while I've got most things covered, the date I've been given is much sooner than I'd thought and I don't have enough paid leave for my recovery. I'm hoping to fundraise to cover my rent and basic living expenses for 2 weeks post-surgery.

Top surgery wasn't something I let myself think about for a long time, even though I've been binding since I was a kid. The cost was so much more $ than I've ever had or come close to earning. A friend told me a few years ago that top surgery is offered via the public waitlist, and while it's been a long wait it's actually accessible for me. The date I've been given is sooner than I'd planned for - it's in July, and my leave rollover is in August - worst timing! I have some savings to cover things, but not the whole recommended time off. I know $ is tight for almost all of us at the moment and anything you're able to give is deeply appreciated <3 . I might try and give you a (consensual) big hug when I see you next. And chest bump you on a dancefloor in future once I'm healed.
