Longer version:
Hi, my name is Will Lewis, and I’m an MSK physiotherapist and fitness enthusiast. In April 2023, my life was shattered by an episode of psychosis. With the incredible support of the NHS, my family, friends, partner, & dog, I was able to heal and grow back stronger.
Now, I am deeply passionate about raising awareness for psychosis and helping others recover—not just physically but mentally too. Through my work in physiotherapy and strength & conditioning, I’ve seen how mental health and physical health are inseparable. It’s this connection that inspires me to do more for those facing mental health challenges, particularly psychosis, a condition that affects 1 in 100 people but is often misunderstood.
To support this cause, I’m raising money for Rethink Mental Illness, a charity that provides vital services, campaigns for better support, and empowers those affected by severe mental illnesses like psychosis.
I’ll be taking on a variety of sporting ventures to raise funds, combining my passion for sport/ fitness with this deeply personal mission. If you believe in the power of recovery and resilience, I would be incredibly grateful for your support—whether that’s through a donation or simply sharing this post to spread awareness.
Together, we can help others heal and rebuild stronger. Because thinking your partner is a spy & your dog is an alien can give your mother some grey hairs…
