As many of our friends and family know on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at approximately 3:47 PM, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department received multiple reports of a single motor vehicle crash on Route 16 in Madison. First responders arrived on the scene, within minutes of the call, and discovered a late model Chevrolet Tahoe on its roof with three people ejected from the vehicle. One of those three people was my daughter Ann Marie Holbrook.

The Three adults were ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. One adult was transported to Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased while the other male and female adults were flown to Maine Medical in severe condition. Five children were inside the vehicle and sustained minor injuries.

The parents of the children fought for their lives for several days until there was no longer any hope. They were both pronounced deceased on August 24th, and August 25th at Maine Medical Center leaving behind three children with no surviving parents.

The tragic accident has left the family in a time of hurt, grieving, pain, and financially needing help to provide for the funeral expense, and living expenses while taking care of the children's needs.

Ann was the life of the party, always making someone smile and laugh. She loved to camp, spend time with her family, and work at the Fryburg Fair.

Ann will be missed by everyone.
