Ann James’s Medical Expenses

I wanted to take a minute to share Ann’s story with you all, in hopes that we can maybe relieve some of the financial burden she has accrued within the past week. Anyone who knows Ann, knows what a kind, loving, genuine person she is. She goes above and beyond to take care of the people she loves, but now she needs a little extra help to take care of herself.

As most of you know, earlier this week, Ann ended up having a stroke which kept her in the hospital for several days. Thankfully, all of her motor functions remained strong, but the stroke did affect her speech. Because of this, she is going to need speech therapy several times a week for the next couple months. She will also have to see a neurologist pretty regularly. On top of all this, she has already been living with Chronic Heart Failure for the last 26 years, which has required many doctor’s appointments, surgeries, and procedures up until this point.

Due to having a stroke, Ann is going to be out of work for quite some time as she focuses on her recovery. While she does have insurance, the out of pocket expenses and time off work will create some additional financial burdens. Her family just wants her to focus on getting better and for her to not have to worry about the financial stress that will ensue from this unfortunate situation.

Ann is the kind of person who would NEVER ask for help, even though she is always so willing to help those around her. Even while she was in the hospital, she didn’t want us taking care of her and she was constantly checking us to make sure WE were ok. That just shows the amazingly kind spirit she has. However, we feel that she could use the extra help right now. We want to give to her like she has given to all of us, and so many others.
