I am a nurse, and I recently lost employment due to the COVID19 crisis. I found a new job, but since I just started, my insurance isn't active yet.
I broke my ankle in 3 places and will need surgery to fix it. The surgery is scheduled for Friday, July 17th. The doctor was nice enough to get a deeply discounted cash price for me, but being out of work for 6 weeks didn't leave me with much. 
The cost for the surgery is $5000, and I will need a scooter and follow-up care, as well. Since the surgery center wants their money up front, I am asking for help.
