My name is Lisa (Elisabeth) Korstanje-Lee; I am fundraising to help my daughter Anja Lee with her out of pocket medical expenses.
Anja has a rare type of breast cancer that will likely require a treatment regimen of a year or more. We expect many expenses associated with the treatment.
Like most of us, Anja has worked very hard the past two years in her numerous career paths to stay ahead in a world crippled by COVID. Besides that, Anja has also been struggling with her health for quite a while. Anja has reached out to many doctors, completed numerous tests and she was finally diagnosed by the Mayo clinic as having Central Sensitivity Syndrome. Being self-employed, she doesn’t have the benefit of company health insurance and sick days. News of this new cancer diagnosis, therefore, will make it difficult to stay afloat between treatments and limited work schedules.
