AniyahMarie’s Summer Gymnastics Camp


Dear Family and Friends,

AniyahMarie, 12 began gymnastics in 2012.  She learned to flip, push, pull, tumble and present in a short time.  Aniyah excelled in the sport that she was invited to participate in a gymnastics team level.  

Unfortunately, AniyahMarie became ill in 2013 while she was part of the Level 2 team.  Aniyah was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with a heart murmur and tachycardia. For health reasons, Aniyah had to take off from gymnastics for approximately 2 years due to her heart conditions. During this break, Aniyah continued to flip, YouTube the latest exercises, learn routines and skills.

In 2016, we decided to give gymnastics another try after medical clearance and ongoing observations.  Aniyah was evaluated by gymnastics coaches for skills to return and hardly missed a beat.  Aniyah continued to do so well that in 2018 was invited to join the Level 5 team (skipping Level 4).

Aniyah, now a Level 5 gymnast is thriving and persevering with her conditions.  After her last meet in Florida at the World’s Largest Gymnastics Meet- Gasparilla Classic, Aniyah wanted to attend the International Gymnastics Camp for the summer in the Poconos.

Aniyah will begin to fundraise and would like to request additional assistance in providing this opportunity for her to attend the International Gymnastics camp for two (2) weeks during summer 2019. One (1) week with be with 3-time Olympian, Gabby Douglas (USA) and One (1) week with either Aly Raisman or Laurie Hernandez. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
