Hello! I had the pleasure of meeting and working with the effervescent Anita this fall, and when I heard her story, I felt compelled to do something for this lovely lady.

Please take a moment to read her husband Dallan's words below, and please donate whatever you can:

"Let me introduce Anita Walsh. Anita (53) is an amazing wife, and loving mother to a son, a daughter and a step-son. Anita, myself and two of our children all work in the BC film industry. Recently, Anita was rushed to hospital due to kidney stones. While in the hospital, a scan of her kidneys revealed a 3.5 inch tumor on her right kidney, which to our dismay turned out to be cancerous. Due to the severity of the tumor, her kidney has to be removed ASAP, which will happen on November 6, 2023. As you know, with the ongoing strike in the film industry, work has been very slim. We have only worked a total of one month in the past year. Anita's post-surgery recovery period is two months. She will need to be looked after of course, which means another two months that neither one of us can work. Unfortunately our EI has expired, and we are at a loss."

Anita Walsh is the sole beneficiary of the fundraiser. Any profits, donations, or proceeds collected through the fundraiser will be disbursed directly to her for the purpose of supporting her recovery, including medical expenses, rehabilitation, and related costs.
