Anita Stapleton is my aunt, but she’s so much more than that—she’s a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, friend, and a compassionate nurse who has always put others first. Whether she’s caring for her patients or rescuing stray animals across her city in Colorado, Anita’s heart is as big as her smile. She’s the person everyone turns to in times of need, and she never hesitates to help, no matter how busy she is.

Recently, Anita was in a terrible accident that left her with multiple ribs and bone fractures in her arm, leg, and face. She’s now facing several surgeries and a long, challenging road to recovery. The physical pain is immense, but the emotional and financial stress is just as overwhelming. It’s hard to see someone so strong and giving have to fight such a difficult battle.
