Anita has Multiple Myeloma and is currently going through chemo therapy. The co-pay and Rx expenses are mounting. She takes multiple medications every day, and they are very expensive (even with insurance). There are multiple Dr visits each week that require a co-pay. She and her husband are both retired, living on a fixed income, and there’s too much month at the end of their money! 

Carlos has been dealing with his own medical battles for a few years now. He’s been in and out of the hospital numerous times, he’s had heart surgery, he has lost most of his toes and he needs to have leg amputation surgery. He’s too busy taking care of Anita to get that done. 

My heart hurts to see my dear friends struggle. I know that many of you will be willing to help....you just need to know what is needed. Her attitude has remained strong and cheerful even when she can’t get out of bed due to sickness from this treatment. This illness has knocked her down but she just keeps getting back up saying “not today, satan!” That beautiful smile is always there for the public eye. Don’t be fooled by outward appearances...she’s a good actor. She’s suffering. Carlos is suffering. Daphne is suffering because her sister/ally/BFF is suffering. We can all help by taking this one thing off their minds.
