Hello, my name is Anita. I am 37 years old and a single mother of a 15, soon to be 16, year-old daughter. Back on November 22nd, 2024, I was diagnosed with triple-negative ductal invasive carcinoma breast cancer. This diagnosis has been a life-changing process for me. When I learned of my diagnosis, I was already at stage 3, so the doctors agreed upon an aggressive treatment regimen beginning with 6 months of chemo, followed by a double mastectomy then reconstructive surgery. Since being diagnosed, everyday life has changed tremendously. I am not able to work full time, especially within the medical field because I am immunocompromised. I just recently spent 5 days and 4 nights in the hospital due to catching pneumonia. I have been struggling financially with bills and keeping a roof over our heads. I know that there is good people in the world who are willing to help those truly in need. I can present any documentation that is needed if you have doubts about my situation and breast cancer diagnosis. Me and my daughter can really use a miracle and some angels willing to help a family in need. Thank you so much in advance for your help. But god is good I tried applying for some assistance but was denied because I lived a few miles outside of the city limits. So I really appreciate all the help everyone has found it in their heart the bless me and my daughter. It means the world and makes the fight even more worth it.!!!So Now that I have finished chemo the next step is a double mastectomy because of the aggressive nature of the cancer my breast could not be saved and one of my Tumors never responded to treatment. The surgery will take 4-5 hours and will also include 1 1/2 hours for plastics I will have 8 weeks at least of recovery time. So once again I will be out of work and since my job changed my employment status to prn I am no longer eligible for benefits. I was denied for SSI and SSDI. And as. Hard as it is to reach out for help I have no choice and anyone that knows me knows I don’t like asking for help however I have a daughter to think about also. I am grateful for everyone who has supported me along this journey in every way possible and I need your help again please any help will be appreciated big or small and my family will be very grateful also.
