Hello. My name is Eric Lipscomb.  I am trying to raise money for my mother Anita Byrum.  She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer after Christmas in December of 2013.  After undergoing chemotherapy treatments and radiation, her PET scan in December of 2014 showed no signs of any cancer.

In June of 2015, she started having headaches and her feet were going numb.  She had another PET scan. The scan showed the cancer had metastasized to her brain.  She has been undergoing chemotherapy ever since.  She had a lumbar puncture at some point, and the brain fluid showed no signs of cancer.  After that, the brain cancer showed back up. She had a scan in August and it showed no signs of improvement, but it had not worsened as far as the brain cancer.  There was cancer on her liver and lymph nodes around the liver.

Her most recent scan, done the last week of December 2015,  showed no signs of improvement with the brain cancer, but slight improvement with the liver and no cancer associated with the lymph nodes around the liver.

Anita has been unable to work since July 2015.  She was receiving short-term disability through her insurance, and recently found out her long-term disability was unfortunately denied.

My mother is the most positive person I know.  She has always gone out of her way helping others throughout her life.  She has always put other's needs before her own.  I am so grateful for what she has done for me and my family.  If it was not for her, I do not know where I would be.  

Starting this campaign is the least I could do for my mother.  She would have a fit if she knew I was doing this.
