Earlier this month, a bomb was dropped on Anissa and her parents. What was thought to be a simple check for balance issues ended up revealing a mass on her brain, along with spinal fluid buildup caused by the mass blocking its normal flow.
Last Saturday, she had a drain placed to help relieve the pressure, and on Wednesday she underwent a 6–7 hour brain surgery. By the grace of God, the surgery went well. As we all know, the brain takes time to heal, but she is already showing her strength. Her hands and arms are incredibly strong, and she even tried to feed herself the other day.
They appreciate all the family and friends for all your constant support — the check-ins, the prayers, and the unexpected kindness through meals, coffee, and messages.
They continue to ask for prayers — for her healing, for the family's mental strength, and for the endurance to take this journey one day at a time.
The added expense of a wheelchair and a few extras will be added to their plates with there being no mobility at the moment due to the posterior fossa that her parents were said to only have a 1% chance to have.
Thank you for everything!!!
