Anissa Edwards, one of the fiercest front-line workers that St. Joseph’s Wayne ever employed, passed away on March 27, 2020 from Covid-19 complications. In this difficult time, we are asking that if you can find it
in your heart to donate, all proceeds will be going to Anissa’s four
beautiful children that she is survived by.  

Anissa had such a nurturing and warm personality, it’s no coincidence    that she pursued a career in healthcare. For many years, Anissa worked for Schnurmacher Center for Rehab and Nursing until receiving a
position at St. Joseph’s Wayne as a patient care assistant, until
eventually a Unit Clerk where she was employed until her death. 

For those of us that knew Anissa, we remember her as a selfless and
caring individual. She always went out of her way in order to help when needed, and did so without hesitation. Anissa was someone that you
could count on and would always go above and beyond in anything that was asked of her. She feared nothing and tackled problems head on.
She never complained and did whatever she had to do to ensure her
family was cared for. She taught and showed everyone the meaning of
unconditional love, which is something we will remember her for. We
will think of Anissa and remember her genuine soul, her positive
attitude and, of course, her contagious smile that could light up any
room. Heaven has truly gained another angel.
