Anisa's Struggle: A Mother's Plea for Help

My name is Celeste Marcus, I am a writer and editor based in Washington DC. I am urgently raising funds on behalf of Anisa Mohammed Mustafa Albana, a Palestinian mother from Khan Younis, Gaza. Anisa is the thirty-five year old mother of two young boys, Adam (6) and Adham (5).

The funds raised. via this initiative will be used to feed Anisa and her children and to secure medical supplies for them. All the money will go directly into Anisa's bank account.

Tragically, Anisa's husband, Mohammed Yousef, was killed alongside his brother in an Israeli airstrike during the war in Gaza, leaving Anisa and her children devastated and displaced. As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen by the day, Anisa is struggling to find shelter, food, clean water, and basic healthcare for herself and her two boys. I am deeply concerned for their safety.

My friend Amira first met Anisa and her late husband through a peace-building initiative called *The Young Leaders*. Both of them were passionate about entrepreneurship and the pair worked to uplift young entrepreneurs in Gaza while fostering partnerships across the Middle East and North Africa. Prior to October 7, Anisa worked as a web developer and IT specialist, with hopes of continuing her education, learning new languages, and ultimately creating a safe, nurturing environment for her children.
