Animus Anima Film

Animus Anima is a film about a woman's self discovery.

The film is a visual poem, a piece expressed in metaphors, symbolism and surrealism.


Hi friends, my name is Luciana Moreno, Mexican Director currently trying to make art in Vancouver.  Over the last two years, I've been building myself as an artist and as a woman in ways I've never imagined... It's been a journey and quite a memorable experience to be living in now a days world as it has given me time to be alone and get deeper into my emotions, my body, my roots and my soul.  It's been a big step to write a script like this and to believe that it can come to life. 

I need your help to make this film. 
It's been hard for me to accept that sometimes money is a big obstacle on doing art. But I've stumbled on my way into reality and learned that the energy that we give, is the energy that we receive, and that sometimes we need some help to make things happen.
Me and the team involved are very grateful to have any support possible to make this film come to life.

ANIMUS ANIMA

A conceptual interpretation of the various layers and phases of a women. It is the unity, the friction, the embracement of our different selves. The sleeping consciousness that intends to awaken. The progress towards our higher self. It’s the eternal energy of our psyche that flows like waves, if one women awakens, if one part of us does, the others will too. Each with individual timing and experiences, but it will - let the fire grow.

The story talks about the "becoming" of a women's self - the transition, the moments in between, the consciousness that is being awakened. The constant change which inevitably brings growth and step by step, closer to the divine - only if it's in our own will. The film is a representation of all women as a whole as well as the individual woman. This film is a visual poem, a lyrical story. Flowing and drowning in feelings and emotions that are found not only through the human body but also through nature itself.
