AnimO Sanctuary is working to improve the lives of animals in Japan. With support of people all over the world, we have made a difference in the lives of dogs, cats, monkeys, birds and more. Today, we are ready to expand the services and care we offer to our animals! But, we need your help to do it!
In this first phase of our expansion project, we want to improve our current sanctuary, hire interim staff, and obtain non-profit status in Japan. We will also use the funds raised to search for a property to buy, where AnimO will find its forever home.

Our Mission:
AnimO Sanctuary is not just a haven for animals; it's a beacon of hope and compassion. We're on a mission to create a sanctuary that not only provides exceptional care to our animal residents but also educates, advocates, and integrates animals into our community. Through responsible pet ownership education, we're dedicated to making Japan a safer and more nurturing place for all creatures.
Our Vision:
In the coming year, we are embarking on a transformative journey in three crucial phases.
Phase 1A (Target: $15,900 / ¥2,334,000)
1. Improve our current sanctuary for prototyping purposes
2. Bridge the operating deficit
3. Hire interim staff and obtain non-profit status in Japan
4. Research and select properties for our new sanctuary
5. Launch targeted donor outreach and essential administrative functions
Phase 1B (Target: March 30, 2024)
1. Engage with Network For Good to aggregate consistent donors
2. Expand outreach efforts through digital media and public relations
3. Develop a comprehensive branding guide for fundraising initiatives
Phase 2 (Target: July 31, 2024)
1. Acquire land and existing facilities outside Tokyo
2. Facilitate the move to our new sanctuary grounds
3. Implement necessary facility improvements and hire full-time staff
Phase 3 (Target: October 31, 2024)
1. Complete all facility improvements for a state-of-the-art sanctuary
2. Implement world-class animal care and enrichment programs
3. Establish paid and volunteer staffing for animal management and care
4. Maintain capital reserves for future sustainability
