My name is Ryan Mills, I'm a student filmmaker at Chapman University currently working alongside Cat Mahoney and Holden Hilal. We are looking to raise money to fund the animation budget for our upcoming student documentary The Last Generation.
This January, we traveled to Thailand to capture the story of the farmers' and students' movement that took place in Thailand during the 1970s. What was essentially a working-class revolution led to tragic stories of assassinations, alienation, and a look at the resilience it takes to enact change. Our film explores this topic through intimate portraits of Thai farmers, expert interviews, and a broader look at the universal themes around this story.
Because so much of our story takes place in the past, we are using archival footage and plan to include beautiful animation that brings these important stories to life. Because this is a student production, we are asking for your support to help us raise a budget to hire professional animators.
Any donation over $50 will be featured as a special thanks in the credits and any donation over $300 will receive Associate Producer credits.
