Animated Student Film: With or Without You

Hello! My name is Vivian Hsia and I am the director for the student animated short With or Without You from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. The short is a senior capstone project for the Screen Arts program and I, along with two of my classmates sharing the passion for animation, decided to create a sentimental story that explore deeper topics in our immediate lives.

With or Without You is a story about memories and the way we choose to reconcile with loss.

Mother's death devastated Halia. She was given the choice to forget all the memories she has ever had with mother. There is no pain without loss, no loss without memories. But Halia has to choose for herself if the price is too great to pay, if one loss surpass the other.

We appreciate all support that will go toward the animation workflow, voice cast, and crew. We look forward to bringing this project to light and show the wonders of animation when it meets a meaningful story created by passionate individuals.
