Animals & Vets of Taal Volcano & Covid-19

Hello, my name is Fabienne. I'm currently living in the Philippines as an expat.  I'm setting up this fundraiser to help a local NGO, the Philippine Pet Birth Control Center (PPBCC) defray mounting expenses associated with the aftermath of the Taal Volcano eruption on 12 January 2020, followed by NCOV 2019 lockdown as of 12 March 2020 which is having a great economic impact on their efforts, to regular mass spay/neuter and rabies eradication efforts they conduct every month.  I'm hoping to raise $9000 to help support PPBCC and its founder Dr. Maricelle Licuanan-Resurrecion, or Doc Mace as everyone calls her.

PPBCC travels throughout the Philippines organizing free spay/neuter and vaccinations for the thousands of cats and dogs in local towns and villages, and have spayed/neutered up to 1189 in one day!

PPBCC spay/neuter clinics offer free spay/neuter for indigent pet owners and overall low cost rates for the citizens of the Philippines.  Their clinic is also free for pet owners who do not have the means to afford other vet expenses related to the welfare of their pets.  PPBCC neuter clinics are funded by their veterinary clinic which is greatly suffering now because of the economic impact brought on by the NCOV 2019 lockdown,  They need our help to be able to sustain their efforts.

I've personally brought in countless cats and dogs whose paths i've crossed in the streets of manila, not just for spay/neutering, but also to either treat for upper respiratory infections and other highly prevalent diseases that afflict the street animals of the Philippines. Every time I've walked into the clinic, Doc Mace is present and her calm presence and manner is always reassuring, to both the humans and the animals!  Please visit their facebook page, and you can see for yourself all of their tireless work. https://www.facebook.com/PPBCCFoundation/

After the Taal volcano erupted in January 2020, Doc Mace and her team immediately organized a team to go out to the area most devastated by the eruption to help the local community get their animals to safety, and treated against the plumes of microscopic glass they were exposed to and inhaled.  What they witnessed was heartbreaking.  That did not stop them from doing everything in their power to help those animals that survived the initial eruption, but were in need of immediate care.  A lot of concerned citizens and expats donated supplies, their time, or made cash donations to support PPBCC's efforts to establish an emergency clinic where they could safely transfer horses, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, etc.. and treat them. Those efforts are ongoing today, along with their monthly regional spay/neuter efforts, and they need help.

I'm doing this on PPBCC's behalf because they are unable to raise funds through gofundme.com from the Philippines.  It appears there are restrictions, and there are no better options to reach a global audience who would have the means and the willingness to make a donation towards these efforts.  Thank you taking the time to read PPBCC's story, and for any size donation that can be put to good use.

Respectfully,
Fabienne
