Animal sanctuary north Wales

Hi, I’m writing on behalf of a small animal sanctuary in North Wales, run by an incredible 77-year-old owner, with the help of a team of lovely volunteers and her 78-year-old friend who supports her every step of the way.
This sanctuary has grown because the need keeps growing. Animals arrive frightened, injured, abandoned, or with nowhere else to go—and they’re taken in, cared for, and given safety when they need it most.
Right now, the sanctuary is caring for over 40 resident animals every day: 2 ponies, 1 llama, 1 dog, 18 cats, 2 ferrets, 2 rabbits, 6 hedgehogs, and 5 chickens. On top of that, they’re also helping local wildlife—currently 34 seagulls, 2 buzzards, and 1 owl, plus other wild birds who come in needing urgent care.
Every animal needs food, warmth, bedding, and constant cleaning. But the biggest cost is always veterinary care—especially right now, with the annual vaccinations needed for the 18 cats, alongside ongoing and emergency treatment for many of the others, particularly injured wildlife.
This is why we’re asking for help.
If you can donate—even a small amount—it will go directly towards food, supplies, and vet bills, so these animals can keep receiving the care they rely on. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as valuable and helps reach someone who can.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for supporting a sanctuary that keeps going purely through kindness, hard work, and compassion.
