Brittany Cope is not one to ask for help, so I am asking for her. Her electric bill for the last two months totaled over $1,100 for her 1400 sq. ft. house, which they rent. I was absolutely shocked when I heard this. My hope is once you read about Brittany, if you don’t already know her, you will want to help her, too. Any amount is very much appreciated. Not only am I praying we will raise enough to help her pay her electric bill, but to put insulation in her attic so this doesn’t happen again. The approximate cost to purchase enough R-19 insulation is $750. The funds are needed quickly to cover the cost of her electric bill.
Now let me tell you a bit about Brittany. She loves, loves, loves animals. Her life revolves around her two children and animals in need. For over 20 years she has worked in animal related enterprises.
At this time, Brittany volunteers at Humane Tomorrow, Animal Investigation and Response (AIR), and Lewisville Animal Services. Her heart shines through in everything she does for animals and kids.
She is raising two amazingly compassionate children, who are also involved with animals. Right now they are fostering, Dozer, one of the victims of animal cruelty AIR rescued and Humane Tomorrow has taken into their foster care. In fact, her son, Jacoby is the unofficial Junior Volunteer Coordinator for Humane Tomorrow because he goes on Education and Outreach events with Kristan who runs the program. Brittany also does Education and Outreach for AIR.
Brittany is a mover and a shaker; she and another volunteer, Kris, revamped the intake area Humane Tomorrow uses when bringing in new fosters earlier this year. They took down all the kennels, cleaned them, patched and painted the walls and floors. Then put the kennels back up in a more organized manner. As if that’s not enough, Brittany helps Kris coordinate the medical care for all the dogs adopted through Humane Tomorrow from shots to surgeries.
