ANIMAL RESCUE OPERATION ST. MAARTEN MARCH 2023

Tax deductible
Hi friends, join me in making a difference by supporting a good cause! I'm raising money for 4 Leaf Rover and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Fast Fact: Did you know 1 dog pair (and its offspring) can produce 67,000 dogs in 7 years?

Time is of the essence when it comes to addressing animal overpopulation. The numbers can become problematic very quickly.

After my 14 year old 70 lb. terrier mix, Abby, passed away in October 2021, I decided to embark on a journey to save and rescue as many homeless dogs as possible. St. Maarten, a gorgeous Caribbean island in the French West Indies, is currently experiencing a horrendous and disturbing trend of overpopulation of puppies and dogs.

Stray puppies can be seen and encountered everywhere on the island.   Many of them are malnourished or injured after getting hit on the street by oncoming traffic vehicles and require immediate medical care.  One day recently I shed tears after I laid eyes on a malnourished dog nursing her puppies.

I decided I had to do something.

I am now working with 4 Leaf Rover, an American-based nonprofit organization based in Ohio consisting of veterinarians and veterinary technicians.    Earlier this year, 4 Leaf Rover successfully conducted a one-week mission to spay and neuter and provide urgent medical care for 300+ dogs in Turks & Caicos pro bono!

After I obtained the necessary approval from the local government on the Dutch side in November 2022,  I am now working with 4 Leaf Rover, as well as local animal rescue and welfare organizations, to help bring several American veterinarians and veterinary technicians to fly to St. Maarten to conduct a similar pro bono mission!

With the assistance from local volunteers, our mission is to find and gather as many homeless and injured dogs as possible on both the Dutch and French sides of the 36 square-mile island and bring them to our pop-up clinics and operating rooms to get spayed/neutered along with receiving urgent medical care or surgical treatment.

Our goal is to help treat 300+ dogs total in February 2023!

Will you please help make this mission happen?

4 Leaf Rover needs approximately $20,000 total.

Funds are required in order to purchase the necessary supplies for our mission: surgical equipment, operating room tables, tents for a makeshift operating room, medications for anesthesia, pain, and antibiotics, IV fluids, syringes and needles, vaccinations, kennels, dewormers, leashes and muzzles, etc.

In addition, funds are needed to help transport and provide meals and lodging for our American veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

100% of your donations will go straight to 4 Leaf Rover and will be utilized to fund this mission!
