Animal Rescue Kusadasi (ARK) Turkey

My name is Carolyn. During a recent holiday to Kusadasi in Turkey, my daughter Rosie and I encountered the dire number of stray cats and dogs.

We fed them all week and, on one of these days, we came across a blind kitten living in the hotel car park.

After googling local animal rescue support, I came across ARK and spoke to Karen (an English lady living over there) on the phone. She came out and has rescued this beloved baby, now named Pippa. Pippa is continuing to receive veterinary care- they are hoping one of her eyes may be saved but the other is permanently damaged and blind.

Without the wonderful work of Karen and others at ARK, so many gorgeous cats and dogs would continue with a life of suffering. Unfortunately, and very frustratingly, Turkey doesn’t appear to have a proactive approach to animal care or neutering.

We would absolutely love to raise some money for this wonderful rescue organisation. These people are angels in disguise and I am sure all other animal lovers will be so grateful for their hard work, empathy and dedication.

I know times are tough but even £2 could help buy them some cat or dog food.
