As many of you know, California has experienced multiple fires simultaneously causing mass devastation and loss of property and lives. Highcrest Farms in Cameron Park, CA is sponsoring a fund-raising event to help those in need. I have assisted several local farmers in evacuating their livestock/pets, food and supplies. It is so sad to see so many animals frightened, burned, hungry and unfortunately many lives have perished.

 

Highcrest Farms has already delivered more than 2000 pounds of grass, grain and other food supplies through local donations, however, so much more is needed. I realize times are tough with COVID and everything else going on in the world but even a $5 donation would be both helpful and appreciative. If you are more comfortable sending a gift card or would like to coordinate purchase through a local feed store that is a viable option. I will gladly provide you with the names of feed stores in the area and pick-up/deliver to one of the temporary shelters or small farms in the area who have provided accommodation.

 

Any assistance small or large is appreciated and will go far to ensure the animals are properly cared for, have adequate food and receive vet care, if warranted. All funds will be utilized for these purposes. This is for fires in the areas of Vacaville, Napa and Santa Cruz counties.
