Seventeen years ago, Fabiola embarked on a mission in this city, driven by the realization that abandoned puppies deserve a chance. Our journey, often solitary but occasionally supported by foreign volunteers, revolves around granting these animals a fair shot at life. Often neglected due to age, lack of space, or time constraints, these animals, when left without homes, contribute to ecological harm. We are a non-profit organization situated in a protected area with a stunning beach frequented by turtles laying eggs, preyed upon by homeless dogs and cats. In the mountains, various species, like birds, face threats from cat colonies forced to hunt for survival.

As the sole rescue center in the province, we struggle with limited capacity. Convinced that sterilization is key to curbing overpopulation, our plan includes two annual campaigns. We seek your support for two crucial goals: Firstly, sterilizing 300 dogs and cats on December 16 in Mompiche (150) and Tres vías (150), both overlooked by the government and in dire need. Costs per sterilization amount to 25.00 USD, with owners contributing 5.00 USD, and the rescue center covering the remaining 20.00 USD from campaign funds. Secondly, we aim to sustain 100 furry animals in our gradually developing shelter, where the volunteer area progresses slowly due to financial constraints. Cats, dogs, and horses in our care require medicine, food, and a secure home.
