For the past 2+ years, Anima House has been a sanctuary, a place of calm, recovery, and deep connection. If you’ve been sweating, stretching, and breathing with us through it all: Thank You.

Behind the scenes, we are currently facing a serious financial burden. A perfect storm of unexpected setbacks. The biggest of these: Our core investment was unexpectedly pulled. On top of that, we also need to cover the costs of much-needed renovations and replenish our reserve for unexpected expenses.

We are not alone in this - it’s no secret that being an independent and BIPOC business owner in Amsterdam right now, whether running a studio, a bar, or a local cafe, is incredibly tough. It takes blood, sweat, and tears to keep the doors open. But for the army of fortune we get to call our community, we honestly wouldn't have it any other way.

This is where YOU come in. Often, especially in times like these, it’s easy to feel helpless, like making a tangible, positive impact is impossible. We are asking you to do just that.

Anima House has always been about more than just a workout. We are immensely proud to be a genuinely inclusive space that champions diversity. We’ve worked hard to build a haven where everybody, every background, and every identity is celebrated and respected. Losing Anima House means losing a vital, welcoming space in our city where strangers become friends.

What We’re Doing in Return

For this campaign the Front Desk team (hi, we are Fianna, Des, Marlot, Meron, Nariman & Selam!) have put our heads together. We’ve curated a special series of events centered entirely around wellbeing, togetherness, and celebrating our community. We promise experiences that will energize and uplift you, all while directly contributing to the survival of our studio.
