Support Taylor through her long road to recovery

Please see updated information below.

Our good friend Taylor recently suffered severe injuries in a work-related accident that required emergency surgery and hospitalization.   Due to the nature of her injuries, her initial recovery will take several months, and will leave her with a permanent disability.

Taylor's rehabilitation process will also involve considerable travel and some associated costs.  Taylor has a strong will and a can-do attitude, but the travel will require at least one other person to accompany her each time to assist with recovery and keep her spirits lifted.  Taylor loves CrossFit and jet skiing, so getting her the resources to regain the ability to enjoy the activities she's passionate about and return to normal life will be key to her recovery.  Your generosity will be greatly appreciated during a difficult time for herself and her family.

This fundraiser has been started on Taylor's behalf, and therefore all donations will be sent directly to her as the beneficiary.  By the way, Taylor will also be getting married soon, so she has quite a bit on her plate these days.  :)  Out of respect for her privacy and that of her fiance and family, we will set this campaign to private on the GoFundMe site.  As the organizers of this campaign, please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Taylor, we all love you so much and miss you.  Get well soon.

UPDATE - 1/3/21

First off, we are extremely thankful to all of you for meeting and exceeding our goal yet again. A happy new year to all of you, and let's keep the momentum going into 2021!

As a quick update, Taylor and her fiance have arrived safely in Philadelphia today ahead of her arm surgery, which is scheduled for January 7. Please keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead and during Taylor's recovery.

UPDATE - 12/22/20
Taylor is continuing to make steady progress in her recovery, and recently returned from a consultation with surgeons in Philadelphia.  In January she will travel there again for 2 weeks to have another surgery on her arm.  This surgery will fix broken bones that are not fusing together, and will shorten her arm to gain better prosthetic functionality.
She will then return home for about 6 weeks for recovery, and then will travel back to Philadelphia for about 8 weeks to start the prosthetic process and for occupational therapy.  Several prosthetic options are still on the table, including myoelectric and bionic versions.  While these will help her regain a good deal of functionality, they also have a limited shelf life, about 5 years on average.
Right now the current indications for Taylor regaining sight in her right eye continue to be promising.  She will also require a consultation with a plastic surgeon on the near future.
Once again, all of you have our deepest thanks for showing Taylor such generosity, and we wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy 2021!
UPDATE - 12/2/20
Taylor and her family are prepared to discuss additional details of the injuries she sustained in the accident and the challenges that she may need assistance with.  As a result of the accident Taylor has not only broken her right arm, but her right hand was surgically amputated at the wrist due to the severity of her injuries.  Therefore, a number of medical options are being considered, specifically a prosthetic for her right hand.  Taylor will be traveling out of state to obtain consultation from prosthetic experts to determine the best course forward for her.  Taylor's right eye was also injured, currently doctors are optimistic regarding her vision, but more time is needed to determine how much of her vision will return and whether future eye surgery is needed.  At least some portion of the expenses for these procedures would be covered by insurance and/or workers' compensation, but the uncertainty of what her long-term treatment and recovery will entail will be a continuing concern.
