Help Save Angus – Our Brave Boy Deserves a Second Chance
Hi, and thank you for reading.
We’re heartbroken and desperate to save our beloved cat, Angus. He isn’t just a pet — he’s family. Angus is loving, full of life, and still so young. Right now, he’s fighting to survive after a horrifying attack that left him with catastrophic injuries.
⸻
What Happened to Angus?
On the morning of August 13th, Angus left our home at 6:15am — something he’s done a hundred times before. Just 24 minutes later, he was found lying on the side of the road.
At first, we thought he had been hit by a car. But the vet gave us devastating news: his injuries were not consistent with a road traffic accident — they were consistent with deliberate trauma caused by a human.
⸻
His Injuries
Angus has suffered:
• Two broken jaws
• Two broken cheekbones
• A hole in his palate
• Permanent loss of vision — it’s unlikely he will ever see again
We were shattered. But after long talks with the vet and several sleepless nights, we made the decision: we will not give up on him.
⸻
His Treatment So Far
Angus is currently hospitalised and has undergone major surgery to wire his jaw and repair his palate. He is showing incredible strength, but his recovery will be long and costly.
We’ve paid over £4,000 already to get him this far. But the hospital stay alone is £500 per day, not including medications, follow-up care, and rehabilitation.
⸻
Why We’re Asking for Help
We never thought we’d be in this position. But we’re running out of options, and we don’t want to give up on Angus simply because we can’t afford to keep him in care.
If you’re able to help — even if it’s just £1 — it would mean the world to us and to him.
If you’re unable to donate, please share this page. Every share helps spread Angus’s story and brings us closer to getting him home.
⸻
Why It Matters
Angus is still so young and has the potential to live another 17 happy years — even without his sight. What happened to him was cruel and senseless. But with your help, we can show him that there’s still love and kindness in this world.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, sharing, or donating. You’re helping us give Angus the second chance he deserves.
20/08/25
Angus is now home recovering well. His current vet fees stand at over £9,000 not including his follow up appointments every 48 hours. We thank you all for your generous donations during this hard time.
Thank you for reading.
