Angstrom to Australia: Team USA Junior to World Stage

Donation protected
Hello everyone, and thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.

THE EXCITING NEWS
My name is Angstrom Eberenz, and I’m 15 years old. I’m honored and incredibly excited to share that I am the Junior representative on Team USA at the FAI F2B Control Line Stunt World Championship in Perth, Australia, taking place in May 2026!

Most people have never heard of control line stunt (F2B), so here’s a short clip of me completing a competition flight at the U.S. Nationals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7zP4KPa_3g

Earning a spot on Team USA is truly a dream come true. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to represent my country in an international competition and to show the world what young flyers can accomplish.

THE CHALLENGE
To make this incredible opportunity possible, I need your help. Representing Team USA is not only an honor—it’s also a major financial commitment. And because this sport is truly a family effort, "Team Angstrom" includes my dad, mom, and sister, who support me in every aspect of training, traveling, and competing.

Our family is responsible for a variety of expenses, including but not limited to:

  • Flights to Australia (it is very expensive to fly to the other side of the world)
  • Accommodations/Lodging
  • Competition equipment (competitive airplane, motors, ESCs, batteries, chargers, lines, and backup components - at least $3000)
  • Transportation, food, and other travel necessities

The costs are significant, which is why I’ve started this GoFundMe—to help get "Team Angstrom" to the 2026 World Championships in Perth, Australia.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Every single dollar donated makes a difference, and I’m sincerely grateful for any support you can give. Even if you aren’t able to donate, sharing this campaign with friends, family, colleagues, or on social media helps more than you know.

12/23/25 UPDATE: When this page was set up, we did not realize there were fees deducted. If you prefer, you can donate through Venmo (@Toni Ruda-Eberenz) or paypal (Toni Ruda-Eberenz). Any method that you prefer or feel most comfortable with is fine! Thank you so much!

MORE ABOUT ME
I’ve been flying control line airplanes since I was 8 years old.

I am from a small, rural town in Pennsylvania. In 2016 (I was 6 years old), my mom was driving with me and my sister in the car when she saw a simple sign about 3 miles from our house. It was an airplane with an arrow below it. She decided to follow that arrow which led us to a house. Behind the house was a large gathering of people flying airplanes. Each airplane was connected to a handle by wires. We sat and watched the planes, and I fell in love. We went back with my dad and even my grandma several times the year and the following year (the event is one week long). Little did we know that we were at the Brodak Fly-In, and I had found my hobby for life. In 2018 I put up my first flight and never looked back.

The hobby also involves building your airplanes. I have helped my daddy build many models. At this time, I have 3 builder of models airplanes (requiring me to completely build either the fuselage or the wing). Overall, this hobby has taught me more than I ever imagined—patience, precision, perseverance, and a passion for engineering.

While stunt/precision aerobatics is my main event, I also fly carrier, racing, and have even given speed a try. Over the years, my family and I have traveled around the country for competitions, and I’m proud to hold three National Champion titles in precision aerobatics, along with several first-place finishes at regional contests in stunt. I also hold 8 National Records in control line navy carrier as well as several National Champion titles.

Outside of flying, I’m committed to my education. I’ve made Honor Roll every year, and I’m exploring a future in environmental engineering. I’m very excited to begin an internship at WVU in the summer of 2026. I also love giving back to my community through volunteer work, including ringing the bell for the Salvation Army and annually participating in Wreaths Across America.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Thank you for believing in me, supporting my dream, and helping me represent the USA on the world stage. I’ll do everything I can to make my team—and my country—proud.
