Hello, our names are Ryan and Savannah. Our sweet 5 year old golden (Angry) Murphy has suddenly been diagnosed with Chylothorax, a rare condition in which lymphatic fluid leaks into the space between the lung and chest wall. Over the course of the last few weeks, we've been battling to get to the bottom of how to treat this condition. Initially, a pleural effusion was successful in removing 3.3 liters(!!!!) of Chyle fluid from his thoracic cavity. Despite the temporary success of this procedure and a cancer-free fluid sample, the Chyle has regenerated. We are now facing an emergent situation where a final surgery is necessary to solve this "leak" and ultimately halt the reproduction of Chyle in his body.
